My family declared that this tastes better than the Blooming Onion at Outback – that has a bajillion calories while this…only 70 per serving :) If there are any leftovers save them for soups, mixing with potatoes, etc.

    Onion Blossom

    Onion Blossom

    4 servings
    70 calories per serving

    1 large Vidalia onion
    2 T A.1. Steak Sauce
    3 T grated parmesan cheese
    ½ t kosher salt

Peel onion and cut partially into 6 wedges – do not cut all the way down , just get close to the bottom. Place on a sheet of foil and loosen the layers so that the sauce and cheese will sink in. Drizzle with the steak sauce and sprinkle with cheese and salt then wrap rightly and grill for 40 minutes. Alternately place foil pouch on a baking sheet and bake at 450 degrees for an hour or until desired tenderness.

This recipe includes a simple marinade that makes the steak taste like a million bucks ! You’ll never grill a naked steak again !

    Glazed Grilled Steak

    Glazed Grilled Steak

    4 servings
    280 calories per serving

    ½ c steak sauce
½ c low fat balsamic vinaigrette
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    1 t oregano flakes
    1 t onion powder
2 beef rib eyes (total 1 lb.)

Mix all ingredients other than the meat and reserve ¼ c for later use. Place the meat in a zip loc along with the sauce, mush it around so the sauce coats the meat evenly, then refrigerate for 30 minutes (or up to a couple hours). Heat grill and cook steak 4-5 minutes per side or to desired doneness. Serve topped with extra sauce.

I love when you grill beef and it gets that nice extra flavorful outside coating. You can achieve this by adding a sugary coating of some sort – barbecue sauce and A-1 both have corn syrup in them and this does the trick perfectly in this great summer dish.

    Caramelized Beef

    Caramelized Beef

    4 servings
    170 calories per serving

1 lb. beef sirloin steak, thinly sliced
    ¼ c A-1 steak sauce
    ¼ c barbecue sauce
    1 t Dijon mustard

Heat grill. Mix meat with 2 T steak sauce and let stand 10 minutes. Mix the rest of the steak sauce, the barbecue sauce and the mustard. Thread meat on skewers and grill 3 minutes per side, brushing occasionally with the sauce.
